Heavy bass on Nakata in one of two dubstep tunes I wanted to do without the standard 'wop wop wop' bass synth. Still a lot of movement there. This one has a little humour because of the lines I throw in from Haruki Murakami's Kafka On The Shore. Bladerunner uses a small sample of Flying Kabuki, off one of the movie's many bootleg soundtracks.

 

A fun little breaks tune with my favourite kind of arpeggio solo to keep it fun and light.

Both dubbish tracks, Shark Attack is the faster of the two, exploring a phasing synth line over a fairly erratic groove and airy melody. Valentine is your more triphop instrumental of the two, keeping the same groove but with subtle variations.

Gail's a piano riff with some subtle frequency variations and a nice supporting bass from an amp in a hall or something. Fairy is another live riff with an arpeggio; longer and with more progression.

Did a dirty, distorted attack of snares and bass and screeches. Think of Atari Teenage Riot or something with a little more variety.

Trekking through the Barbadi Forest his much needed power crystal supply had diminished. Luckily he came across an uttermouse and made use of it's smoke glands; allowing him to navigate easily until he reached the foot of the mountain, where he would later use the crystals as he reached closer the peak. A dubstep song.

Stoner rock, sludge metal; very interesting genres. These three tracks represent a session trying a few things out starting off within this style of music. Pick Up is a Jesu kind of tune; simple and melodic and a little sappy. Sweaters gets a little more interesting in adding more elements, Sunn O))) influences in the vocals, I guess, and bringing the energy up. Then Argument gets a touch more hardcore/punk with some sloppy vocals. I pretty much ripped off the opening riff from Sydney's Not For You split with Ultimatum.

Decided to kind of ruin my favourite tune from Phoenix's Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix by trying a little lofi electro on it. Like most remixes I do I just like changing the tune or key to suit the vocals. Arpeggios, fuck it.

"Poison within. Cold-blooded amphibian." A dub-step tune with a message of not eating the truly beautiful colour frog because it's cold heart pumps deadly jumping gas that will kill you. Animal songs are fun.
